First year graduate student Nic Rhoades gives presentation on thesis plans

First year graduate student Nicholas Rhoades gave a presentation regarding his thesis plans on April 15th. His thesis, entitled “Perceived Similarity and Attraction in Anonymous Contexts,” will investigate whether individuals can make accurate assessments of their similarity to others in low-information contexts with different types of available cues. Previous research suggests that they will be able to make accurate assessments, but will tend to overemphasize the cues they have available. Nic is mentored by Dr. Rose Mary Webb.
