First-year graduate student, April Young, gives presentation on thesis plans

First-year graduate student, April Young, gave a presentation regarding her thesis plans on April 21st.  Her thesis examines the effects of perspective-taking and empathy on moral judgments. April will be using attempted, accidental, and completed actions as a way to observe how varying information about the outcomes of an event and an agent’s intentions may lead to more or less intense judgments about an agent's behavior, based on the differential focus of information that perspective-taking and empathy guide observers to attend to. April is mentored by Dr. Andrew Monroe.
