Second-year graduate student, Nic Rhoades, gives presentation on thesis plans

Second-year graduate student, Nic Rhoades, gave a presentation regarding his thesis plans on February 10th.  His thesis investigates how individual differences in intelligence relate to differences in the accuracy of personality trait judgments based on text messages.  Previous research has shown that intelligence has a small but consistent relationship with accuracy in personality judgments and that people can make personality judgments from small slices of a stranger's text messages.  However, the relationship between intelligence and accuracy has not been specifically investigated with text messages, hence Nic's thesis.  Nic is mentored by Dr. Rose Mary Webb.
