First year graduate student Andrew Burdette gave a presentation regarding his thesis plans on April 22nd, entitled “Memory Function Restoration in Abstinent Alcoholics.” According to Andrew, there is a distinct lack of research detailing the recovery of cognitive function in recovering alcoholics beyond 6 weeks of recovery time, something that he hopes to address with his thesis. Andrew is mentored by Dr. Lisa Emery.
