First-year graduate student, Megan Norris, gave a presentation regarding her thesis plans on March 24th. Her thesis is going to explore whether young children build representations of groups based on their previous experiences with those groups; then whether they use that information to make inferences about new group members. She then will examine whether these children use those judgments to guide their learning and social preferences for new members of those groups. Megan is mentored by Dr. Robyn Kondrad.
