First-year graduate student, Rebekah Knight, gives presentation on thesis plans

First-year graduate student, Rebekah Knight, gave a presentation regarding her thesis plans on February 24th.  Her thesis investigates the relationship between emotion regulation, memory, and anxiety.  In particular, her work examines how the use of suppression and mindfulness as emotion regulation strategies increase or decrease self-reported levels of anxiety.  Additionally, her research considers how the use of these regulation strategies at the time of encoding may subsequently affect memory for the information being encoded. Rebekah is mentored by Dr. Lisa Emery.
