Graduate student Eva Ebert presents talk on ambiguity, anxiety, and risk-taking

Eva Ebert, a second year graduate student in the experimental psychology program here at Appalachian State, gave a presentation of her own research on Friday, February 12th. The presentation demonstrated the results of a research project Eva undertook as part of her graduate studies, which found that the inverse relationship between anxiety and risk taking is moderated by the relative ambiguity of risky behaviors. Eva’s research is scheduled to be published in the journal Personality and Individual Differences, under the title “The Relationship Between Anxiety and Risk-Taking is Moderated by Ambiguity.” The presentation was given as part of a seminar course offered as part of the masters of experimental psychology program.
