Second-year graduate student, Blake Wagner, gives presentation on thesis plans

Second-year graduate student, Blake Wagner, gave a presentation regarding his thesis plans on February 16th.  His thesis uses eye-tracking to measure the effects of cognitive control in hiring situations involving protected class information learned from job applicants' Facebook profiles. To do this, Blake will be analyzing whether participants can learn to inhibit their eye movement behaviors from protected class information, thereby inhibiting the acquisition of this information. His thesis also examines if extrafoveal information is a sufficient indicator of upcoming information within Facebook profile posts. Blake is mentored by Dr. Chris Dickinson.
