Second-year graduate student, Megan Norris, gave a presentation regarding her thesis on February 23rd. Her thesis explores whether young children build representations of groups based on their previous experiences with those groups; then whether they use that information to make inferences about new group members. She then examines whether these children use those judgments to guide their learning and social preferences for new members of those groups. Megan is in the final stages of her thesis project and only need 11 more participants! Megan is mentored by Dr. Robyn Kondrad.
